Sexy Golden Smokey Eyes

It's almost impossible to resist trying the golden smokey eyes makeup application technique. The look is sexy and glamorous yet softer than the conventional charcoal smokey eye. It particularly suits medium to dark skin tones but can be tried and tested on just about anyone. It's very easy to do with the right eye makeup products. Also, when you're looking for great new makeup ideas, this is the perfect eye makeup look to try.

The golden colors will match nearly any outfit you're wearing, particularly with GOLD accessories. This is one of my favourite smokey eyes look. I consider it a very classy glamorous eye makeup look with a twist of celebrity style.

Follow these step by step instructions:

2- Apply golden eyeshadow with medium makeup brush on upper eyelid area as shown. If desired, apply a copper or amber shade on upper eyelid afterwards for a little warm color variety. Sweep either color on lower lash line with small makeup brush. Apply in small circular motions from outer to inner corners of eyes.

3-Sweep golden eye color up to bone in crease area only and not beyond this point. Otherwise, your look golden smokey eyes may look too "overdone".



4- Increase intensity of eyeshadow color gradually until the desired look is achieved.

5- Apply liquid/gel eyeliner for the ultimate sexy look and/or line inside rim of eyelids, top and bottom with a black or brown pencil eyeliner.

6- Apply highlighter to brow bone and corner of inner eyes. Also, dab the highlighter to center of upper eyelid as shown for extra sparkle.

7- Apply 2 coats of black mascara after curling lashes.

8- Fill in eyebrows if desired.

9- Top off this golden smokey eyes look with bronzer.
